Gameloft Hits Record Sales of €65.6M in First Quarter

Social video game publisher Gameloft has released its earnings report for the first quarter of 2015, which ended on March 31, 2015.

"Strong back catalogue sales combined with a robust line-up of new games has allowed Gameloft’s revenues to bounce back significantly in the first quarter of 2015. The progress made by the company in terms of monetization and steady releases of new games is beginning to show result," said Gameloft CEO Michel Guillemot. "We will strive to stay the course in the coming quarters by delivering on a regular basis high-quality and successful mobile games."

Sales for the quarter increased 17 percent year-over-year to €65.6 million. Quarter-on-quarter sales increased nine percent. North America and Europe each accounted for 29 percent of the sales. Asia-Pacific accounted for 26 percent, while Latin America accounted for 15 percent.

"Gameloft has a massive audience, strong brands, solid recurring revenues, growth opportunities ahead and a healthy financial situation," added Guillemot. "We therefore continue to look to the future with confidence."

Gameloft plans to release 20 new mobile games a year starting in 2015. The amount of revenue per title is expected to increase based on recently launched games.
