Nintendo of America has a new VP of sales, and that man's name is Doug Bowser. No, not that Bowser.
The ironically-named man joins Nintendo after working for Electronic Arts as the Vice President of Global Business Planning. His new role inside Nintendo will see him working on “a variety of sales-related functions, including Sales, In-store Merchandising, Retail Strategy and Retail Marketing. He will play a key role in driving national sales strategies to generate demand and achieve revenue objectives across all of Nintendo’s product lines”, as well as overseeing retail marketing for the New York-based Nintendo World store.
New blood in Nintendo is good news, and whilst it is yet to be seen what impact he will make in this new position, it seems to almost be fate that he would end up at Nintendo.
