Splatoon has been the subject of plenty of fan art since it was first revealed last year, and a fair amount of this has been based around Ika Musume (her name literally translates to Squid Girl) from the Ika Musume manga/anime series. Even the mangaka of Ika Musume drew some fan art for Splatoon.
Now it's been announced that Japanese Splatoon players will receive a free Ika costume during the August update. Currently this DLC only pertains to Japan and, unfortunately, it’s somewhat unlikely that the west will ever receive it due to potential licensing issues.
