Microsoft's revenue from first-party controller sales has jumped by 65.5 percent in 2015 in the UK, according to GfK Chart-Track.
The release of the Xbox One Elite Controller last month has played a big role in the increase, as it retails for £120 and sold out at most retailers. The controller will be in short supply through early December.
Sales for Sony's DualShock 4 controller also increased, by 23.2 percent year-over-year. The average price for a DualShock 4 controller was £9.82 higher than Microsoft’s controller until June 2015. However, the release of the Xbox One Elite Controller dramatically changed that.
"The recent launch of the new Xbox One Elite Controller sees Microsoft turn the tables to become the more expensive first-party controller," said Chart-Track’s Chris Poole.
