Electronic Arts' latest financial report reveals that Star Wars: Battlefront has now shipped over 14 million copies to retailers, as of 31st March, beating the original projection of 13 million units that EA set for the game last year.
The publisher also confirmed that a sequel will be released next year, while Amy Hennig's Star Wars project is set to launch in 2018.
"We'll most likely have at least one Star Wars title a year over the next three or four years," said Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen. "Next year we will see Star Wars Battlefront back with bigger and better worlds because we now have the new movies to work off of, not just the historical movies that we used before."
