User Interface Designer/Artist Benoit Perreault has released concept work for a 2.5D fighting game based on the Assassin's Creed franchise. Benoit worked at Ubisoft for 8 years and has posted the assets as part of his portfolio online.
Given that the game was never even announced it seems like the project was either cancelled in the early stages of development or it never even got off the ground, which will probably come as a relief to those of us who feel the franchise is being milked to death, but it does give us an interesting glimpse of what could have been.
