Nintendo has released the Pokemon X & Y patch that will fix the save-corrupting glitch that caused players to become stuck in Lumiose City, as promised last week.
"As of 25th October 2013, update data to fix certain errors and problems occurring in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y has been made available for download on Nintendo eShop," says Nintendo on its website. "We strongly recommend that all Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players download and install this update data. We apologise for the inconvenience."
In addition to removing the glitch and restoring corrupted save files, the patch also fixes errors that sometimes occured while using the GTS (Global Trade Station) to trade Pokemon online.
Those who seek to download the patch can do so by scanning the QR code with their Nintendo 3DS/2DS here or accessing the Nintendo eShop with Pokemon X & Y either installed or in the game card slot, which will bring up a list of software with update data available.
