Next Gears of War Game Still in Planning

Black Tusk studios (formerly Microsoft Vancouver) are hard at work on the next Gears of War game, but they've hardly scratched the surface and are in fact still in the planning stage.

Phil Spencer spilt the beans on Twitter:

"Still working through plan, I can say first original GoW from BT[Black Tusk] has to reignite franchise and grow it, won't be a quick turn."

He added: "And I believe we've built the right team to achieve that goal, I just want to give them the time."

It's always annoying to hear that games won't be here soon, but it's better to wait for them to perfect it. Due to the poor sales and reviews of Gears of War: Judgment, the team will feel as though they have an uphill struggle. But this is the usual case with spin offs - we need another Epic, not a spin off.
