Minecraft, the wildly successful build-your-own-world indie game, is coming to PS3 on a Blu-Ray disc on May 16th, as revealed on the PlayStation Blog by Mojang's Owen Hill.
Hill mentioned that 1.5 million copies of the digital version of Minecraft have been sold on PS3 since its launch in the winter. Minecraft's success as a retail copy on Xbox 360 has only cemented the ground for more ports in the future.
Judging by the picture released below, it seems as though there may also be physical copies for PS4 and PS Vita as well, though Hill mentions there is no news of releases on those systems at this time.
Do all of these Minecraft ports mean there is a possibility of a Wii U version in the future? Only time (and Mojang) will tell.
