While many fans have been left disappointed by the Final Fantasy franchise this past generation, the one bright spot of the franchise has been and still is the music.
In 2012 Square gave us a celebration of Final Fantasy’s fantastic melodies in the form of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy for the 3DS. Now, two years later, its sequel Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call is on the verge of releasing in Japan, and has just been confirmed to be coming out in both North America and Europe sometime this year.
The game includes 221 songs and over 60 characters from the main series as well various spin-offs, including the never-localized Final Fantasy Type-0. The sequel also introduces a new versus battle mode where you face off against your friends and a Quest Medley Mode.
