Manuel Noriega, a dictator who was tried on eight counts of drug trafficking, racketeering, and money laundering has just sued Activision.

If, like me, your Panamanian history isn't great, and you're not too sure who he is, let me fill you in: Manuel Noriega was a Panamanian politician and dictator from 1983 to 1989. In 1989 he was captured by Americans and arrested. He was released in 2007, then he was extradited to France, where he was to serve another sentence, but they allowed him to serve most of it in Panama.

So, now you're up to speed, let's look at exactly why Manuel is suing Activision. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 several of the missions feature... well, basically him.

Manuel is suing Activision for using his likeness, which he claims is "blatant misuse, unlawful exploitation and misappropriation for economic gain."

He has a 13 page lawsuit in place, and states that the developers pitch Manuel as "the culprit of numerous fictional heinous crimes, creating the false impression that defendants are authorized to use plaintiff's image and likeness. This caused plaintiffs to receive profits they would not have otherwise received."

    Well now he has a ton of ground over Activision. I get this guy is a complete scumbag for being a dictator and doing all that he has done though I feel he may actually win this. The proof is all right there in front of them.
