Blizzard have announced that they will soon be increasing the prices for World of WarCraft subscriptions for players in the UK. The news comes via an official post on the Battle.net forums.
The new pricing structure will come into effect when the Warlords of Draenor expansion ships this November. Monthly subscriptions will increase to £9.99 a month (up from £8.99), £28.17 for 90 days (up from £25.17), and £52.14 for half a year (up from £46.14).
This has angered many UK World of WarCraft gamers, who already pay inflated prices compared to their American counterparts. This news also comes at a time when Blizzard have lost 200,000 WoW subscribers over the last few months, and is unlikely to help matters on that front.
