Almaz von Almandine Adamant is the "fake hero" and playable character in Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice. After having his title stolen by Mao, Almaz has 666 hours until he is turned into a demon forever. Deciding the only way to become human again would be to get his titled back, he joins the party as Mao's "servant". Later, when the party nears the headquarters, Almaz sacrifices himself to save Sapphire and is placed under a powerful curse that will kill him. His death is a blow to everyone, especially Sapphire and Mao commands him to live.
Almaz is a hero fanboy who knows everything there is to know about heroes, but has a hard time acting like one, due to his lack of confidence. He has had a crush on the princess Sapphire for ages and dislikes demons because they do things like kidnap his princess.
