Pleinair is a recurring character in the Disgaea series and is considered the mascot of Takehito Harada, the man responsible for designing the characters of Disgaea and other Nippon Ichi games.
Originally only the NPC in charge of the Dark Assembly in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, she was later made available as a secret playable character in the Disgaea DS and Afternoon of Darkness re-releases.
In Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, Pleinair is an anchor on the news program with Axel and Usagi. She was also released as a playable character through Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days free DLC, as well as in Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice and Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten.
In Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?, Pleinair appears in a cameo during the Bad Ending.
