Jason Brody is the protagonist of the upcoming game Far Cry 3.
He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He was on vacation with his friends and two brothers when they decided to skydive down to the Rook Islands. Not long after landing, he and his friends and brothers are captured by a band of pirates led by Vaas Montenegro. While in captivity, he and his brother, Grant, manage to escape their cage, only for his brother to die from being shot by Vaas. Jason was left go and manages to escape to the jungles, where he is rescued by Dennis Rogers and taught the ways of survival. He now sets out on rescuing his friends and other brother, so he can leave the Rook Islands and go back home.
