Reginald Birch was a London merchant and the Grandmaster of the British Rite of the Templar Order and Haytham Kenway's mentor in Assassin's Creed III. By his mid-20s, Birch owned several merchant ships, including the Providence, that mainly dealt in tea trade with the American colonies.
Birch met Haytham at a young age while working for his father, Edward, and convinced him to switch sides. In 1754, after Haytham retrieved the key to the Grand Temple, Birch secured passage to Boston for Haytham, where he was assigned to find the First Civilization storehouse and establish a permanent Templar presence.
