William Johnson was a member of the Templar Order in Assassin's Creed III. In 1754, Johnson used his contacts within the Native American people to help Haytham Kenway to find the First Civilization site and defeat Silas Thatcher and Edward Braddock.
Later in life, Johnson began gathering illegal funds by smuggling in British tea into Boston. Knowing that the funds were being gathered to buy Native American land for the Templars, Connor Kenway, along with Paul Revere and William Molineux, led the Boston Tea Party to stop the supply line. Some time later, Johnson met with the Iroquois leaders to negotiate the purchase of the land, but was killed by Connor when he threatened them with death.
