Kaniehtí:io was a Kanien'kehá:ka woman and the mother of Assassin Creed III protagonist Connor Kenway. Kaniehtí:io met Haytham Kenway when she was captured and being shipped to the slaver Silas Thatcher. Haytham hiijacked the convoy, using the slave trade as a cover to infiltrate the fort, before releasing Kaniehtí:io and other members of her tribe.
Later, Haytham tracked down Kaniehtí:io for help in finding the First Civilization site and gained her trust by killing Edward Braddock. Their friendship and affection eventually led to the birth of their son, Connor Kenway aka Ratonhnhaké:ton, but the relationship ended before his birth due to Haytham's dark objectives.
