The Lord of Bones is current ruler over the Kingdom of the Dead in Darksiders II. Once trusted as second-in-command to the former King of the Dead, Argul, he usurped the throne, entombed Argul in his lair, and became the new King of the Dead. Seated on The Eternal Throne, he judges over the souls of the dead and is the only one who knows the way to the City of the Dead.
When Death entered the Kingdom of the Dead in search of the Well of Souls, the King demanded that Death bring him the Dead Lords in exchange for the location of the City of the Dead. When Death returns with the three lords he destroys them for their failure to serve him.
