Michael de Santa is a retired bank robber and one of the main protagonists in Grand Theft Auto V. During his time as a robber, Michael met Trevor Phillips and his future wife Amanda. The couple had two children, Tracy and Jimmy, and became more cautious over time, much to Trevor's annoyance. In 2004, Michael met FIB agent Dave Norton and gave up Trevor, faking his death and going into witness protection.
Nine years later, Michael's domestic life has spiraling out of his control with the relationships with hie wife and children falling apart. He hates his current life and when a chance encounter with a Los Santos youth, Franklin Clinton, opens the door to his old life, Michael falls right in to where he left off.
