After the events of the first game and getting out of jail, he lives his life in peace. He has a daughter named Jing King, who is his only known offspring. She is kidnapped by General Tsao, who is trying to force her to marry him. She is rescued by Sly and his team, which prompted the Panda King to join them. This causes him to be torn inside, with his "evil side" still wanting to kill Sly.
Whenever Sly shows concern for the Panda King, he decides to let the past go and offers his demolitions expertise. He gets along with Murray and The Guru the most out of everyone in the group. Murray's love for his van and the spiritual connection with The Guru are the reasons so. After helping Sly break into the Cooper Vault, he leaves the group and lives nearby his daughter.
