Before Sly and the gang go through time to restore the Thievius Raccoonus, they ask Dimitri to look after the book while they are away. Dimitri agrees to this, keeping in touch with a crystal-powered radio that Bentley built that allowed them to keep contact anywhere and anytime. He helps them more, as he warns them of any changes to the Thievius Raccoonus, as well as guiding them to their next time period.
