After the Raccoon City incident, Sherry and Leon S. Kennedy are "rescued" by U.S. authorities, who use Sherry's protection as blackmail to force Leon to work for them. Sherry, on the other hand, is closely watched by both the government and Albert Wesker due to her G-embryo.
Several years later, Sherry is released on the grounds that she becomes an agent for the U.S.
In December 2012, now an official agent for the Division of Security Operations, Sherry is sent to find Jake Muller, the son of Albert Wesker.
Upon arriving in Edonia, Sherry witnessed the Edonian Liberation Army injecting themselves with the C-Virus. The soldiers, excluding Jake who is among them, begin to mutate into J'avo. The two escape the mutated soliders only to learn that Jake is being tracked by the Ustanak, a cybernetic-enhanced B.O.W.
