Sherry Birkin is the daughter of William and Annette Birkin. First appearing as a child in Resident Evil 2, she has since appeared in a few games outside the main series (non-canon or spin-off).
In October 2012, Sherry rejoined the main series as the Division of Security Operations agent assigned to protect Jake Muller, the only carrier of antibodies against the C-virus, in Resident Evil 6.

Sherry was born around 1985 or 1986 to Umbrella virologist William Birkin and his research colleague Annette while working at the Arklay Labratory. Due to their intense dedication and passion for their work, Sherry's parents were often absent in her childhood, but loved her deeply.
