Jin Kazama is a character in the Tekken series of games, as well as an integral part of the story from Tekken 3 onwards. He is the son of Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama, having been raised by his mother until the age of 15, after which he was raised by his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima. Since his father has the Devil Gene in it, he also has it inside him, fighting it to keep it at bay. Because of this, he has shown to range from being calm to angry should the Devil Gene activate, as well as trying to avoid relationships with people.
From his first appearance in Tekken 3, Jin has appeared is all of the Tekken games. He also appeared as a playable character in Namco x Capcom, Street Fighter X Tekken, and partnered with Ling Xiaoyu in the crossover game, Project X Zone.
