Arthur is the main protagnist of the Ghosts 'n Goblins franchise of games, where he is tasked with rescuing his wife, Guinevere, from the clutches of Astaroth. Along the way, he has to fight through a plethora of undead and other monsters in order to get to Astaroth.
He also appeared in Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes as an assist character, then in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as a playable character.
