Vyers is the main antagonist of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, but because Laharl considers him unworthy of the title he is best known as Mid-Boss. After the death of King Krichevskoy, Vyers appeared and climbed his way to the top of the demons who wished to take the late king's throne.
A narcissistic, aristocratic demon, Vyers considers Laharl his rival, even though Laharl does not see him as one. Secretly good at heart, as proven when he holds Flonne's necklace, which harms the wicked with impunity, it becomes apparent that he is merely an actor, pretending in all manners including a fake French accent. Throughout the course of the game, Vyers becomes even more mysterious and it is implied that he is the reincarnation of Laharl's father, King Krichevskoy.
In Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, Vyers is encountered as a hidden boss and in Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days, the player can unlock him as a playable character. He also appears in other Disgaea and Nippon Ichi Software games.
