Wario has been featured in a majority of the sports titles, often being a playable character. He is generally an offensive and/or aggressive player, with an emphasis on power.
- Mario Golf - He has appeared in every Mario Golf game as a playable character. He is available from the beginning in Toadstool Tour, but he must be unlocked in other games.
- Mario Tennis - He has appeared in every Mario Tennis game as a playable character, except for Power Tour, despite Waluigi being in the game. He is generally considered a power player.
- Mario Baseball - Wario is a captain in both games, with good batting skills. However, all his other skills were low.
- Mario Strikers - Wario is a captain in Super Mario Strikers, with an aggressive mindset. In Strikers Charged, he is an offensive player and excels at shooting and passing, although he is not good in speed and defense.
- Mario & Sonic - He is featured in the games as a power-type character.
