Wario is an anti-hero that appears in a multitude of games, with his first appearance being the main antagonist in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. That game sparked Wario getting his own series of games, split up between platformers (Wario Land) and mini-game compilations (WarioWare). He also appeared in plenty of other games, such as the Mario sports games. His name is a combination of Mario's name and the Japanese word for "bad," which is "warui."
He has shown to be extremely greedy, to the point where he even betrays his friends and allies. He has also shown to be very intelligent, although his hot-headedness and clumsiness tend to make him look stupid. He loves sweets and will gorge himself on them from time to time.
