Oswald of Carim is a pardoner of sins and allows players to safely abandon covenants in Dark Souls. He is first encountered after ringing the Bell of Awakening in Undead Parish at the bottom of the bell tower. Selling Karmic Justice and offering the Book of the Guilty, Oswald has knowledge of all sins that transpire in Lordran and offers sinners the chance to absolve their sins...at a "small" cost.
