Sega is a large video game developer and publisher based in Tokyo, Japan. The company is also well known for having developed video game hardware in the 1980s and 1990s, most notably manufacturing the Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast consoles.
With a total staff of over 2,000 individuals and offices in all major markets, Sega is one of the largest publishers in the video game industry. The company also holds the rights to numerous popular video game IPs, including Sonic, Virtua Fighter, Total War, Yakuza, and Virtua Tennis, amongst others.
