The residents of the Mushroom Kingdom known for their loyalty to their ruler Princess Peach have joined the main characters to play in soccer matches. Toads as Sidekicks are able to join any team (except the Super Team) and their head spots are the same color as the teams colors. Toads are a technique player making them useful for quick passes between players, in general Toad's are one of the quickest characters from either Sidekicks or Captains.
