Battalion Wars 2 is a take-off from the original Battalion Wars and is a great game for the young and old. It uses the Wii controls to there fullest and helps to teach strategy. The setting is very much the same as other combat games, one force against another. The twist on this one is that the planes, tanks and other equipment are cartoonishly exaggerated and the characters are children in combat gear. What is also new about this game is the introduction of battle ships, frigates and submarines that you can control. Wow. After the introduction play you will be given orders to find several allies nearby and to breach a large gate. As the game progresses you will be given control of the boys under your command and control of the tanks and aircraft made available to you. This is were the fun begins.
You can order all of those under your command, or certain groups of your boys, to attack a given target or to hold a chosen location. This applies to the tanks, ships and aircraft as well. As the enemy is defeated they will leave behind medical bags to replenish your health and in the case of enemy equipment they will leave behind fuel cans to repair any damage taken by your equipment. Certain tasks must be completed before moving on and in some instances within a time limit. The environment changes from mission to mission and can be in the mountains, the desert or on the sea.
