Colony 9 is the first major area visited in the game, and is also the home of Shulk, the main character in the game. It is in this area where characters are introduced to a number of other playable characters, including Reyn, Dunban and Fiora.
After an attack by the Mechon on Colony 9, Shulk and Reyn head towards Colony 6 to aid their search for one of the main antagonists of the game, Metal Face.
