Planetary Annihilation is a real-time strategy game developed by Uber Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Funded via Kickstarter, the development team consists of numerous strategy game design veterans, including those who worked on Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander and is in many ways a spiritual successor to those titles.
The game focuses on a planet-based map system, including multiple star systems, different types of planets and asteroids, with the ability for players to conquer other planets and even entire systems on maps said to include "hundreds of worlds".

Gameplay
Planetary Annihilation is a real-time strategy game developed by many of the key individuals behind the popular Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander franchises. In many ways it is a spiritual successor to these titles, but takes the map-based strategic warfare concept found in those games and expands it to a planetary scale.
Units
Units are what make up your armed forces in Planetary Annihilation. There are four different types of units: Vehicle, Bot, Air, and Naval. Some units are more advanced than others, but in turn require more resources to construct and run.

Structures
Structures are buildings that produce the units that will allow you to make up your armed forces in Planetary Annihilation.
Planets
Planets in Planetary Annihilation are much like maps in a typical strategy game, the difference being that each game will contain numerous planets.

Kickstarter
Uber Entertainment launched their Kickstarter campaign on August 15, 2012 with a goal of reaching $900,000 by September 14, 2012. The Kickstarter’s initial pitch for Planetary Annihilation was to create a new game in the style of Total Annihilation featuring many of that game’s concepts but on a much larger scale.
