The primary enemies in Knack are the Goblin hordes, led by Gundahar. This section will detail the basic enemy types.
Goblins
Goblins are the primary enemies of Knack. Goblins come in three main varieties: Little Goblins, Goblin Swordsmen, and Golbin Bowmen. Little Goblins are simply smaller versions of the Goblin Swordsmen and Bowmen, which are primarily used to introduce Knack to combat at the beginning of the game.

Goblin Swordmen are Knack's most common enemy. They typically use swords and melee-based attacks, though some will also throw their swords for boomerang attacks. As the game progresses, there will be more variety in the Swordsmen, such as ones that attack with fire swords or double-edged swords.
Goblin Bowmen are the default ranged enemy in the game. As the name suggests, they typically attack with bow and arrows from a distance. Like with Swordsmen, they will vary as the game progresses, with some attacking using more powerful crossbows or flaming arrows.
Robots
Robots are initially enemies that are used for Knack's training. These come in two primary forms: spiked and bolt. Spiked robots are melee enemies that will attack by using spikes protruding from them. Bolt robots attack from a distance by firing energy blasts at Knack. Both varities may feature shields, making them harder to damage. Later in the game, they will feature more variety and will become bigger challenges for Knack.
Animals
Animals are enemy types that are common on exterior levels in Knack. They are primarily made up of birds and beetles. Birds are the main elevated enemy, which require extended reach or projectile attacks. They will either swoop down to attack Knack or attack with wind-based attacks from a distance.
Beetles, like Goblins, feature a variety of types. Some beetles attack head-on by ramming into Knack. Others will attack from a distance using projectile lasers. Some beetle enemies are self-destructive, causing a large amount of damage if they get near Knack but killing themselves in the process.
