Minigames make up a large portion of the gameplay in Mario Party: Island Tour. Minigames pit up to four players against each other in specific events. Winners of minigames can receive bonuses such as special dice blocks, boosts, and mini-stars. They can be played in the board games or separately in Minigames Mode.
