New Super Luigi U is a platformer for the Wii U that is published and developed by Nintendo. Originally designed as a DLC for New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo announced via a Nintendo Direct presentation that a standalone retail version would be made available on July 25, 2013 for Europe and on August 25, 2013 for North America.
