Legends of Dawn - Gameplay

Legends of Dawn is an open-world role-playing game, where the player is free to explore the world without being restricted to one set path. At the beginning of the game, players can create their own character from one of three Races (Humans, Elves and Danians). There really isn't a class system, as all characters can learn any skill in the game.

Open World

Legends of Dawn doesn't restrict the player to one set path throughout the game. While there are the main story quests, players are free to explore the vast, open world at their leisure, going anywhere they want. This makes it so that no two experiences will be alike. The only thing you need to do is stay alive.

Combat System

The combat system in Legends of Dawn has been described as a combination of Diablo and World of Warcraft. When you find a monster in the wild, you will automatically attack it when you click on it. There are cooldowns associated with attacks, meaning you can't just keep clicking on a monster to attack it, but for most weapons, these cooldowns only last half a second or so. Other weapons, such as a bow or two-handed sword, have noticably longer cooldowns because of their range or damage.

Spells also have cooldowns and when you click on a monster, you will be able to use spells to attack it. There are also other kinds of spells, such as placing a defensive buff on your character, which don't require you to target a monster. Each major weapon group has a skill that helps increase the chance for that weapon to hit a monster, and there are also skills that show how adept you are at fighting a certain kind of monster.

Quests

There are many quests that the player can go on in their journey. The main quest in the game involves the player trying to find the 23 pieces of the Dawn artifact that have been scattered across the game's world. These pieces are usually guarded by monsters or require the player to solve puzzles. Once they find all 27 pieces, the player will finish the game.

Besides the main quest, some other quests only have one way to complete them, while others may have different ways to solve them. For example, you have a quest that requires you to bring the NPC some herbs. These herbs can be gathered in a variety of ways, such as finding them in chests, collecting them in the wild, or even buying them from shopkeepers.

Runes and Spells

Players will find Runes while traversing through the game's world. These can be used in a variety of ways, from unlocking treasure chests with them, as well as operate various mechanisms in the world. Additionally, players can combine the Runes in their inventory to create their own spells.
