This section will contain all of the sidequests you can do while exploring the various floors of Aincrad. To get the quests, you need to speak with NPC Kirby by the gate that leads to the fields on the 76th Floor; he usually has a green exclamation point over his head when new quests are available.
When speaking with the NPC, he'll offer a few choices:
- Accept Quest: Add the quest to your quest list
- Cancel Quest: Cancel any quests you are currently doing
- Quest Report: Report back to the NPC when you have finished quests to receive your reward
- Tutorial: Gives you a brief tutorial on the types of quests
As explained when viewing the tutorial option, there are three different types of quests available in the game, Kill, Gather and Collect Quests.
- Kill: Requires you to kill a certain number of creatures, which will be highlighted with an "!" over them.
- Gather: Requires you to collect items from harvest points on the maps for that floor. Whenever Kirito gets close enough to certain spots, a glowing circle will appear. These are harvest points and you can get quest items, as well as other things from them. The points only allow a limited number of items to be gathered, before the player has to go back the next day (rest at the inn).
- Collect: Requires the player to gather a certain number of items from enemies, which you get by killing them. They don't always drop the item you need, so more kills than the required number of items will likely be needed.
