Advanced Warfare is the newest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, featuring similar gameplay to previous entries, but also adding new elements, such as the exoskeleton and future weaponry. The game will be present on current gen consoles, as well as the previous gen, which will be handled by another company.
General Gameplay
Call of Duty is a First Person Action Shooter. Players take control of a soldier and run around the map, completing missions and gunning down hostiles all in the perspective of the protagonist. Call Of Duty is a simple FPS game and has limited gameplay variation, however, features in the game can be different and have appeared as so throughout past CoD games.
A new gameplay feature in Advanced Warfare would be the added double jump. This booster can be used in multiple ways. Players can jump into the air and use the boost to change directions, manuever quickly while in the air, and even dash while on the ground.
Exoskeletons
Exoskeltons are a new addition to the Call of Duty universe. In Advanced Warfare, Exoskeletons act as a strength enhancer for a normal soldier. They will give the player enhanced movement, such as being able to jump higher and further. In singleplayer, the player will be able to upgrade their exoskeleton with additional features.
Game Modes
Single Player
As with previous games in the series, Advanced Warfare will feature a campaign mode that features the Atlas Corporation helping to fight against terrorists. The singleplayer will feature the ability to use exoskeletons and vehicles across as many as fourteen different levels.
Multiplayer
Though the game will still retain its roots of running and shooting your opponents (with objectives), the game will feature new elements for your disposal such as the boosters and new weapons. The game will feature a lot of the same modes as previous ones, but also new ones, such as the cooperative Exo Survival.
New forms of weaponry will also be implemented for gameplay. These include grenade variants, energy weaponry, exoskeltons, etc. Players will be able to choose which gender they want when creating their multiplayer character.
Collectibles
Every Call of Duty game has included some form of collecting elements within the Singleplayer. It is unknown if this will return in Advanced Warfare, though it is highly possible that it will.
