The Battlefield franchise has been around since 2002, with the first release of Battlefield 1942. The franchise has undergone several changes and the latest release, Battlefield: Hardline, is no exception. The focus of the game is robbers vs cops.

It ended up selling 1,433,020 units worldwide at retail, according to the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart. Battlefield 4, by comparison, sold 2,505,204 units when it launched in October and November 2013.
Breaking down the Battlefield: Hardline sales by platform, the PlayStation 4 version was the top selling platform with sales of 759,286 units. The Xbox One version sold 473,860 units. The PlayStation 3 version sold 107,586 units, while the Xbox 360 version sold 66,535 units. Finally, the PC version sold 25,753 units.
