Greg M. Mitchell has left Epic Games to work for Microsoft. Mitchell previously directed the video sequences for the Gears of War series and is now working for Black Tusk Studios.
"BIG NEWS!! I'm leaving Epic, but heading to Black Tusk Studios to work on Gears of War!! I'll quote Marcus Fenix, by saying 'NICE!!,'" Mitchell said on Twitter.
Microsoft announced back on January 27, 2014 that it had acquired the rights to the Gears of War franchise from Epic. Black Tusk Studios has since taken over development of the franchise, which is being overseen by Gears of War director Rod Fergusson.
