Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition (3DS) was the top selling game in Japan for the week ending May 3, according to Media Create, as reported by Gematsu. The game sold 179,926 units in its first week on sale.
There are five other new releases in the top 20. Dragon Quest X: Legend of the Ancient Dragon Online (WiiU) debuted at number two with sales of 98,923 units. Xenoblade Chronicles X (WiiU) debuted at number three with sales of 85,586 units. Sakeano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend -Blessing Flowers- (PSV) debuted at number seven with sales of 11,202 units. ToHeart2: Dungeon Travelers (PSV) debuted at number eight with sales of 10,956 units, and Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy (PSV) debuted at number nine with sales of 8,104 units.
The 3DS was the top selling platform with 25,948 units sold. Wii U sales tripled week-over-week to 22,898 units sold. The PlayStation 4 sold 19,782 units, the PlayStation Vita sold 17,748 units, and the PlayStation 3 sold 3,956 units. The Xbox One sold just 341 units.
