The Game Awards broke its previous record of 2 million viewers with 2.3 million watching this year's show, which was hosted by Geoff Keighley.
"With the growth this year and all the sponsor support, I feel pretty confident we will be back next December for The Game Awards 2016," said Geoff Keighley. "Next year will be about adding other elements around the show. One thing I wanted to do this year was a big eSports tournament the day of the show, but we just didn't have enough bandwidth to get it done."
The top streaming platforms for the show were Twitch and YouTube. The show also trended worldwide, with over 1 billion impressions on Twitter. Around 175,000 people used the hashtag #TheGameAwards, and 279,000 Tweets were posted.
The Game Awards took place last week, on December 3rd; don't be surprised to see it return next December.
