Customers who pre-ordered the upcoming Hitman via the PlayStation Store have received notifications informing them that their pre-orders have been cancelled.
Square Enix has since commented on the matter, telling fans in a statement that they needn't worry - the release date still stands but the company is 'adjusting a few things'.
Precisely what that means should become clear in a couple of days' time. In the meantime Hitman is still scheduled to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on March 11th.
