Star Wars 1313 wowed audiences at least year's E3 with its next-generation technology and creative use of the Star Wars license. However, after hardly any new information on the game in over eight months, it appears that there may a disturbance in the game's development.
According to Kotaku, anonymous sources involved with 1313's development have claimed that the game has been put on hold since Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm (and Star Wars 1313 developer LucasArts) last November, as all Star Wars related efforts are going into the planned new theatrically released trilogy spearheaded by J.J. Abrams.
It was originally speculated that Star Wars 1313 was originally shooting for next-gen consoles for a 2013 release, but now it seems it may fall into the next year. However, LucasArts has said that the game is still in development, stating ""LucasArts has been working diligently to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities that the new Star Wars movies present . . . Star Wars 1313 continues production."
Star Wars: 1313 impressed us at last year's E3, so we hope it comes out sooner rather than later.
