God of War: Ascension will feature a Horde-esque co-op mode called Trials of the Gods. Teaming up with a friend or duking it out alone, you'll take on increasingly difficult timed waves of monsters in an arena. Over 15 types of enemies await you, including Satyrs, Cerberuses, Cyclopes, Gorgons, Juggernauts, and more deadly creatures. There are five rounds to the game, and if you manage to reach the end of the 5th round, a final challenge awaits with an epic boss encounter.
No doubt additional arenas will be released as DLC, but the game itself will ship with three maps at launch.
