A while back, renowned gaming designer of Platinum Games, Hideki Kamiya, told the world that he was really interested in making a Star Fox game. A few months back, he said it again. Weeks ago, he said it AGAIN. But now, Kamiya says he is no longer wanting to make the game. His reason? IGNorant journalist continue slandering him with questions about how he would do it and release date crap. It wasn't only IGN but many other sites.
If you are anything like me, then you are absolutely PISSED at the sites who wouldn't keep their mouths shut about a game that wasn't even announced. Really now, release dates? Who the hell would ask him this?
Anyway, im sure most of you don't mind that Platinum isn't making the game. But there isn't any dedicated studios left. Miyamoto is busy with his IP, Retro is doing the DK game no one asked for and will very likely move on to Metroid, and Rare is not Nintendo.
For now, a new Star Fox game could be years away. If not, never happen. A truly sad day not only for Star Fox fans, but gamers everywhere. Kamiya said he would focus on the core of Star Fox, so it was a win win for the "eh" fans and "OMG" fans.
Yes I am mad at all the sites (come on, my avatar is the damn logo) and i'm also a little disappointed at Kamiya. He is known to LOVE his gamers. Seeing him back off of an amazing idea just because of the idiotic journalist is kind of sad. If I were him, I would simply ignore them. (Yeah I know, I'm mad)

@ Dereke
I really don't think the image is what matters.
Okay, now to read the real comment
Yes, many believe Kamiya did so just to stop the sites. A very big possibility. However, he could have just abandoned the thought all together as well. -
Did you guys seriously upscale a 197x166 jpg image as the main image for your article? SERIOUSLY? It looks like crap, and you should know better. I am disappointed in you, whoever it was that decided this picture was good enough.
I mean, at least scale the image up in Photoshop or Gimp first. It's not hard to enlarge an image without subjecting your readers to the evils of jpg artifacts.
Okay, now to actually read the article.
Meh, it's entirely possible that Kamiya just said that to so that those sites and groups would stop hounding him with questions, and then proceed to work on StarFox regardless.
It's probably how I'd handle the situation. -

Standards, man. A modicum of effort. It does wonders for something to appear professional and for people to take you seriously. I was seriously tempted to not even bother with this article merely based on the image alone. I'm certain there are others who chose not bother reading it based on the same.
Not taking the small amount of time to produce a quality image can makes a person question whether or not you even care that much about the subject matter addressed in the article and are just throwing in filler content.
Judging things based on initial appearances alone may be shallow, but everybody does it to some extent, some more than others. It's human nature.
Therefore it is ALWAYS worth it to do your best. Always.
