Kinect Sports Rivals for the Xbox One now has a release date: April 8th for North America, Australia, and New Zealand or April 11th for Europe, Microsoft has announced. The game was initally planned to be available at the Xbox One's November launch but was delayed so that developer Rare could improve the title (with Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason appearing at launch instead).
Kinect Sports Rivals is the 1080p follow-up to the Xbox 360's Kinect Sports, released in 2010, which lets you use the Kinect to control your character in various sporting events. It adds new sports such as climbing, target shooting and wake riding in addition to returning sports such as bowling, soccer and tennis. The game will allow you to align with one of three teams (Eagle Legion, Viper Network, and Wolf Clan) and includes a Champions mode where your avatar can compete with friends even if you're not playing the game at that moment.
